Aldo Londi vase for Ceramiche Paoli Montelupo fiorentino, Sahara series. Mid-century Italian ceramic vase created by renowned designer Aldo Londi for Ceramiche Paoli in Montelupo Fiorentino, Italy. Best known for his distinctive ceramic designs for Bitossi, he also designed some pieces for other ceramic workshops such as Ceramiche Bruno Paoli, located in the same town near Florence, Tuscany. For this series, called Sahara, he used the intricate and rich patterns he used to work with for Bitossi, but added a few other colors to create a unique blend of colors and patterns. Note the wonderful shape of this vase, round with flattened sides.

The vase has a very small chip that is about to be repaired, signed on the base.
