Description
Oracle floor lamp, single piece, designed by Gae Aulenti for Artemide in 1960. Made of opal glass and perforated enameled metal, it is considered an iconic object of Italian design of the Sixties, an expression of the designer’s research on the relationship between light, form and space.
The metal structure, characterized by a perforated surface, allows the passage of light from the lower bulb, generating a diffused and calibrated lighting effect. The opal glass diffuser contributes to a soft and enveloping rendering of light. The lamp is equipped with a double switch, which allows functional and atmospheric modulation of the lighting.
Good overall condition, with wear and tear compatible with age and use. Provenance: private house.
