Description
Gianfranco Frattini bedside tables for Bernini, model 544. The project expresses Frattini’s measured and sophisticated language, based on rigorous proportions, attention to detail and enhancement of wood essences. Made of rosewood, the bedside tables stand out for the richness of the grain and the construction quality typical of Bernini’s production of the Sixties. A significant example of mid-century Italian design, the 544 model combines functionality and material refinement, adapting naturally to both classic and contemporary contexts.
Among the first projects that marked the partnership between Gianfranco Frattini and Bernini, the family of furniture to which the sideboards and coffee tables belong represents a perfect manifesto of his way of understanding design. Considered a true cult today, this type of furniture encompasses all the distinctive elements of his poetics: formal rigor, attention to detail and deep knowledge of materials. The Gianfranco Frattini bedside tables for Bernini, made of fine Rio Jacaranda Palissandro, stand out for the richness of the flamed veins, capable of giving the furniture a feeling of warmth and sophisticated elegance.
