Pi Greco Afra and Tobia Scarpa Gavina 1957 chairs, set of 4. The project takes its name from the famous mathematical symbol, recalled in the structure and in the relationship between the construction elements, and clearly expresses the rational and material approach of the two designers. The chair is characterized by an essential and well-defined structure, in which constructive solidity is combined with a rigorous and measured design. The collaboration with Gavina places the Pi Greco Afra and Tobia Scarpa Chairs model within a season of strong experimentation, in which design becomes a tool for formal and cultural research. A significant example of Italian design of the second half of the twentieth century, the Pi Greco chairs combine function and design thinking, maintaining a sober but strongly identifying presence in the space.

Good general condition, with signs of aging compatible with age and use. Provenance: private collection.
